Everything and every person at The Mustard Seed thrives off one another. When one is missing, we lack sustenance, but when we all show up ready and willing to do our part, we nourish each other, and strengthen the whole.

 

That’s why our volunteers are such a crucial part of our operation. The Mustard Seed is a co+operative business owned by our members, and every member is important to our success. Throughout our history and development, hundreds of our members have been active volunteers, and this tradition continues.

 

To support our volunteers just as they support us, we offer:

 

• A 20% discount voucher for every ten hours contributed at the Co+op

• Flexible scheduling that can be offered as regular, scheduled shifts to match your availability (which could be once a month, once a week, etc. depending on your needs).

• A variety of roles suited to any and all volunteers

 

Volunteer roles include but are not limited to:

• General store duties like stocking shelves, cleaning, packing bags

• Food preparation, like wrapping/cutting fish

• Delivering Cafe postcards to surrounding neighbourhoods

• Event support

• Mustard Seed Ambassadors where you can help welcome members and customers
